250th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion Ball

On January 20th, 2024, the 250th EMIB-n military Battalion held their annual New Year’s ball at the Fiddler’s Green Ballroom, and it was an extraordinary event filled with meticulous planning and execution. The entire event showcased a seamless blend of military tradition, entertainment, and fine dining.

Pre-event Preparation: A team of organizers from the 250th EMIB-n, along with two (2) SFRG Advisors (Soldier Family Readiness Advisor), one (1) of them being Rosalind Price, CEO of HB Audio Visual and current SFRG for the 240th Sustainment Brigade, where she was actively involved in the months of event planning and operations leading up to the event. During this time, the focus was on setting up the AV infrastructure, DJ equipment, picture backdrops, multi-room event flow for music and photos, as well as coordinating lighting setup, 360 booth and photography. Our team worked closely with the facility’s general manager and liaison team to ensure everything was in place on the event day. Tony Lewis, Lead AV/IT Tech was onsite through this entire process to answer questions and make changes upon requests as needed.

On-site Operations: On the day of the event, our team continued to play a crucial role in the smooth operation of various aspects.

  1. Staff Direction: Coordinating the staff to ensure everyone was well-versed with their roles and responsibilities, contributing to the overall efficiency of the event.
  2. DJ and Music Coordination: Ensuring a seamless musical experience for the Soldiers, our team collaborated with Soldiers to set-up a music playlist that resonated with the audience. Rehearsal was planned and acted upon for sound checks and mic checks.
  3. Photography and 360 Booth: Managing photographer and the 360 booth, to ensure capturing memorable moments for the attendees and enhancing the overall experience for the Soldiers.
  4. Fine Dining Experience: Our involvement extended to the dining experience, overseeing the setup and coordination of all linens and cocktail hour and delightfully delicious meal. The menu, featuring a multi-course meal, and more, added a touch of elegance to the evening.
  5. Entertainment: The soldiers were treated to a variety of entertainment, including comedy acts, guest speakers, book signings, awards ceremonies, and flag ceremonies. Our team likely played a role in coordinating and ensuring the smooth flow of these diverse elements.

Overall Impact: The event, with its carefully planned AV setup and operations, not only provided an opportunity for the Soldiers of the 250th EMIB-n Battalion to unwind and enjoy the evening while showcasing the exemplary acts of all of the Soldiers through the award ceremony and Vice act. The dedication and professionalism of everyone involved in the planning and execution of the event was a success. Being selected as co-SFRG for the event was indeed an honor for HB Audiovisual, reflecting the trust placed in our teams’ hands to contribute significantly to the success of the annual holiday party.
